Positive reinforcement in ABA encourages desired behaviors to increase their frequency. Types of reinforcers could be social (praise, high-fives), tangible (toys, stickers), or activity-based (favorite games) for example.



Positive reinforcement is proven to shape behavior. We reinforce small steps towards a larger goal. Reinforcement helps apply learned behaviors across settings.



And consistency in reinforcement at home boosts therapy success — so parents, make sure you are practicing positive reinforcement with your child too.
